Aibo and Webots: Simulation, wireless remote control and controller transfer
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article introduces a new software tool that provides an accurate simulation of Sony Aibo robots and the capability to transfer controller programs from the simulation to the real robot. Five components are described: (1) a simulated physics-based model of the Sony Aibo ERS-210(A) and ERS-7 quadruped robots; (2) a graphical user interface for controlling the simulated and real robots; (3) a wireless communication protocol for controlling the robot from within Webots; (4) software components on the robot that enable remote control; and (5) a method for cross-compiling Webots robot controllers. The complete system has been calibrated and proof tested. It enables simultaneous control of both a simulated and a real Aibo robot and provides the user with a platform for convenient robot programming without any knowledge of the underlying robot firmware. c © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Adaptive Four Legged Locomotion Control Based on Nonlinear Dynamical Systems
Dynamical systems have been increasingly studied in the last decade for designing locomotion controllers. They offer several advantages over previous solutions like synchronization, smooth transitions under parameter variation, and robustness. In this paper, we present an adaptive locomotion controller for four-legged robots. The controller is composed of a set of coupled nonlinear dynamical sy...
متن کاملImplementation of Identical Spiral Square Inductive Coils for Wireless EV Battery Charging Application
In recent years, the popularity of wireless inductive power transfer (WIPT) system for electric vehicle battery charging (EVBC) is always ever-increasing. In the WIPT inductively coupled coil structure is the heart of the system and the mutual inductance (MI) between the coupled coils is the key factor for effective power transfer. This paper presents the analysis of mutual inductance between t...
متن کاملRemote Control Technique with OFDMA Based Approach for Biologically Inspired Robots in a Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET)
Wireless communication is adding improvements in remote controlling techniques of vehicles or mobile robots day by day. From mission based AGVs to biologically inspired robots each area of robotic research is being enriched from time to time with the advent of Wi-Fi technologies like 1G, 2G, and 3G etc. This paper reflects a novel approach to control a mobile ad hoc network built with a number ...
متن کاملSimulation and investigation of the effect of oil flow rate, electric signal of flow control valve and controller on the performance of a wet clutch
The using of wet clutches and hydraulic control devices causes a smoothly torque transfer. In this study, a wet clutch was simulated in Simulink MATLAB software. Firstly the mechanical section of the clutch was modeled and then the hydraulic section was simulated with the addition of electric flow control valve and inlet and outlet of oil flow. Finally, the effects of oil flow rate, electric s...
متن کاملDesign of Observer-based H∞ Controller for Robust Stabilization of Networked Systems Using Switched Lyapunov Functions
In this paper, H∞ controller is synthesized for networked systems subject to random transmission delays with known upper bound and different occurrence probabilities in the both of feedback (sensor to controller) and forward (controller to actuator) channels. A remote observer is employed to improve the performance of the system by computing non-delayed estimates of the sates. The closed-loop s...
